We're slowly getting things caught up, but then we'll probably be behind once again when we have the early out on Friday. I think it's two steps forward and three steps back.
In Literature 9 we discussed the vocabulary and commonly confused words found in "The Interlopers". Everyone is asked to complete a vocabulary lesson for tomorrow. We will be taking a vocabulary test sometime next week. On Thursday we will have a unit test over the six stories we've read.
In English 10 we're continuing with our persuasive speeches. Some really reflected a lot of research and rehearsal, while others appeared to improv their speech. It's too bad as "winging" this speech is not a good idea for someone's overall grade. Everyone is supposed to check their complements against an email sent.
In American Literature we began our discussion of "The Scarlet Letter". This will be a longer discussion, so students should use this time to work on their author's presentation.
In Law we continued with our discussion of the Bill of Rights. We then started to discuss statute law (criminal and civil). We then discussed the differences between misdemeanor and felony.
