I know we all say, and we all definitely feel it - I'm so glad it's Friday! This week flew by, but I'm still ready for a little R & R.
In Literature 9 we finished up a few things, and next week will be our big unit test. We first played a little Kahoot over "Cask of the Amontillado". Then we discussed mood and suspense. Poe is the master of it, so it seemed appropriate. Then we talked briefly about "The Interlopers". We did take a reading check over the story. Everyone has a story detective to complete for Monday.
In English 10 we discussed the first step to listening - preparing to listen. During 7th hour we listened to Autumn's story, and it was amazing. Good call group. Then we "listened" to five vocabulary presentations, subject complements, and why we needed to be critical listeners. Next week we'll work with propaganda.
In American Literature we spent the first eight minutes review our vocabulary words, then we took our tests. The rest of the class period was spent mini-conferencing the Mayflower Project. It seems like the groups are a little more focused than the last time we talked. I'm glad.
I hope everyone can relax this weekend and enjoy some good weather. See you Monday!
