We're studying idioms in Literature 9, and I had one that applied to today - I "hit my wall". Man am I tired.
In Literature 9 we discussed the appearance of Aunt Alexandra and how she's impacting Scout's life. Everyone took their check over Chapter 13, and we reviewed the vocabulary for both Chapter 12 and 13. I'm so proud of the freshmen in that they are really staying caught up with definitions and synonyms.
In English 10 we're getting through Act 1, Scene 1. We talked about finding details to include in a summary. We also reviewed the questions related to Scene 1. It was important to get everyone on the same page since so many were gone yesterday for the Swing Choir/Jazz Band competition. Hopefully tomorrow we can finish Scene 2-3. Everyone should be working on the tour of Verona.
In American Government we discussed the qualifications to become President - both the "official" and "unofficial" ones. Everyone was put in a group of four, they weighted the qualifications based on importance (according to the group), and now the task is to research their chosen President. On Monday we will take that research and rank them. Then the groups will create a 2-minute biographical advertisement to promote their candidate.
In Law we're watching 48 hours.
I hope I can get a little cat nap in before my youth group tonight. Happy Wednesday everyone!
