Whew! What a day! I can't say any more, but Whew!
In Literature 9 we retrained where information is on Mrs. Sandbulte's website. Then we discussed diction: word choices that can be for humor, repetition for emphasis, and dialect (a region's language). Then we took our quiz over the two stories.
In English 10 it was frustrating. If something doesn't go right the very first time, it seems that the reaction is to whine and complain. You know what? Things are not always going to go right the first time. Stick it out, adapt, figure out how to make it work. I'm sorry some of you have taken hours to work on something, but it's not my fault you didn't listen to instructions. If you can't finish your box for tomorrow, that's o.k. We will use tomorrow to finish up and then submit at the end of the period or on Monday.
In American Literature we took a reading check over the information about Ben Franklin, and we also reviewed the information on the worksheet. The next two class periods will be used to finalize everything we need for the Mayflower Project.
Today was frustrating. On the one hand I feel like everyone wants to learn, but then we just education to be the same old way. That's tough, because life isn't the same old way. Enough of my rant.
