What a crazy day Friday was! The weather turned everything topsy-turvy. The speech tournament was postponed to Monday, but then the boys' basketball substate game will probably be moved as well. All in all, we got everything worked out, but only after a few stressful conversations.
We didn't have Literature 9 class due to the late start. Remember to come in and pick up your vocabulary study guide. I sent a Remind, an email, AND it was in the announcements.
In English 10, we only had sixth hour. During that class period, we created a bibliography page to be uploaded to Moodle. Seventh hour did not meet because of the FFA games. Speeches begin on Tuesday.
In American Government, we had class for only a half of an hour, so our test is postponed until Monday. Instead, we played a game - is it legal or illegal? I provided several scenarios based on the court cases studied. We then decided whether things were legally possible or the situation involved an illegal activity. It was rather a fun (and loud - which always makes it fun) class period.
Law was the only class that met for the entire class period. We started by reviewing five vocabulary words from Legal Vocabulary II. Then we moved onto our Criminal Packet. We didn't quite get done with it, but I think by Monday we should be done.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I was so prepared for a 5-star blizzard, but I really didn't think it was that bad. In fact, we went to a movie - Peter Rabbit. I highly recommend it. I laughed several times until there were tears in my eyes.
