Another trip to Mayo, but this one was productive. I was back around 3:30, so I got a chance to look at things from today. I was a little frustrated that things didn't go as planned, but hey when I can't be here, I have to deal with the consequences.
In Literature 9 we started with our Monday video. Then we reviewed the objectives and bellringer for the day. Since I sent out a Remind yesterday, no one should have been surprised over their quiz "Into Thin Air". The quiz was on Moodle. Then they should pick up their vocabulary lesson (Into Thin Air) and work on that. The study guide is due for tomorrow.
In English 10 there were simply supposed to be Motivational Speeches withOUT volunteers. I guess she took volunteers. I however am not happy. The idea was everyone was supposed to be ready to go. Also some of you got to retape? What's that all about? Have your participle phrases exercise (Moodle) done for tomorrow.
In American Government we watched the Monday video and reviewed the bell ringer. Then in groups of four you were to review the process an idea goes through in order to become a Constitutional amendment. Then in those groups you were to come up with categories (5-6) for the amendments. You were not allowed a miscellaneous category. Why would those amendments go where you put them, and why did you title the categories what you did? This is supposed to be tough and make you think of the intent of the amendment. We'll finish up on Wednesday.
In Law you were to have watched two videos on Judicial Independence (one that I made with SMART and another that I found from the federal court system). After you watch that or after you took your open book quiz, fill in the notes related to Judicial Independence. We will finish up our discussion and take our test on either Wednesday or Thursday.
I'm beginning to feel the 4:00 AM rise and shine. I have a few more speech kids to get through, and then I think I'm calling it a night. See you all tomorrow.
