At the end of this day, I'm so proud to be your teacher. After my meeting today, I returned to my classroom to hear the accolades from today's substitute. All I could say is, "I have great kids." And she heartily agreed.
In Literature 9 you had most of the class period to work on the vocabulary lesson for "The Last Leaf" and "Sweet Potato Pie". For homework, please finish the characterization workshop.
In English 10, everyone had time to make their notecards (3 notecards - Introduction with 25 words, Body with 40 words, and Conclusion 15 words). Then everyone should have used the rest of the time to rehearse. Remember that the time limits are three to five minutes.
In American Literature, I sent everyone a video link reviewing how to annotate a poem. I basically walked you through the first poem by Walt Whitman. Then in groups or pairs, you were supposed to annotate the last three poems.
I did enjoy today's meetings, but I hate being away from my classes. I just really like you! Good luck to the ladies and gentlemen on their game against Sibley. Go Mustangs!!!
