Matinee, Puffin delivery, and parent/teacher conferences. It's no wonder I forgot to post on Thursday. I'm surprised I'm still standing.
In Literature 9 we basically finished our vocabulary lesson for "Gift of the Magi" and "Sweet Potato Pie". Then everyone was supposed to complete the chart on dialect and characterization of Charley. I know that with the craziness of all the playoff games and the play, that sometimes teaching and learning takes a back seat, but remember that the primary reason we're here is to learn.
In English 10 we took our vocabulary test over Words referring to Groups. Unfortunately it took awhile to get them done so no speeches were given. That means Monday and Tuesday will be full steam ahead.
In American Literature we worked on rhetorical devices. We discussed anaphora, allusion, parallelism, and antithesis. We'll get to ethos, pathos, and logos next week.
Next week is also ITED's and that always puts a wrench in everyone's schedule. Just remember (I'm primarily talking to myself here), to be flexible and do what you can do.
