I need sunshine! I have heard that the weather is to improve this week, but my body is really telling me that I'm lacking some good old-fashioned Vitamin D.
In Literature 9 we reviewed the words for Chapter 16-17. Then we reviewed the elements of a trial - prosecution, defense, witnesses, cross-examination - that then we began to read Chapter 17. After each witness, we stopped and took a moment to document the information that witness provided. We didn't get quite as far as I had hoped, but we'll finish up tomorrow. Since I will be gone for a few days to help my daughter and her new baby, I'm trying to get to a point that it will make sense to stop reading. Everyone should look up all the vocabulary words for this section of reading.
In English 10 we tried to catch everyone up. Those that have been absent should have taken the Act III, Scene 1 check. We also caught everyone up with a comparison chart. This Venn diagram is to compare the parallels between the other acts and act III. We are at different spots in the reading, but that's o.k. We'll be able to catch everyone up sooner or later.
In American Government we are still working on the Congressional Leaders and the responsibilities of the House of Representatives. I distributed a worksheet asking them to research a piece of legislation presently being considered in Congress. I will collect this on Monday and then also finish our conversation about the law-making process in the House.
In Law we really didn't have class as the Seniors had a meeting from 1:00 - 1:30 and the juniors from 1:30 to 2:00. We'll finish our discussion of the Death penalty and then move on from there.
Hopefully tomorrow there will be a little more sunshine. I know my husband is ready to shoot a little golf.
