What a beautiful spring day! I wish I could take my SMART board outside and have class. I wish my windows opened more so that I could enjoy the fresh air!
In Literature 9 we're still watching To Kill a Mockingbird. Today we finished with the trial scene, and it still gets to me. I think that Gregory Peck is the best Atticus, but I just love the little girl who played Scout. I hope the kids are enjoying it as much as I am (considering I've seen it so many times!)
In English 10 we spent most of the class period preparing for tomorrow's test. We shared our study guides with five different partners, reviewed with me, and then created a notecard to be used on the test tomorrow. We then reviewed the events of Scenes 2-4, and then demonstrated our knowledge by taking a check over it. Everyone should do really well.
In American Literature we reviewed the events of Act I (half of it any way) of Our Town. I just love this show. I directed it so many years ago, and I reread the words and I'm reminded why I love the show so much. We took a check over the reading. We then reviewed the symbols found in "The Raven". I had a feeling that a lot of students didn't read "The Raven" as their CLOSE activity was blank. Things that make a teacher go hmmmm. We then finished up class with a brief discussion of "Annabel Lee". We'll begin with Emily Dickinson on Thursday.
We were so close to finishing 12 Angry Men in Law. We'll definitely finish it tomorrow. Then we'll start our unit on torts.
See everyone tomorrow.
