It's always hard to come back after so many days off.
In Literature 9 we started our novel To Kill a Mockingbird. We started with our explanation of chapter summaries. You can use your chapter summaries on your reading checks. The only rule is all that you write must be in the space provided - no additional pape. I also distributed the vocabulary for chapters 1-5. Remember that all vocabulary must be completed if you want to avoid taking quizzes on the vocabulary. We reviewed the life and times of Harper Lee. We didn't have a lot of time, but you are to work on your Google slides on pre-reading research. This is due on Friday.
In English 10 we started our unit on Romeo and Juliet. This is my favorite time of the year. I love teaching both To Kill a Mockingbird and Romeo and Juliet. We started our notes on Elizabethan Era. It's so fun to watch student reaction to the lecture of wigs, gloves, "raining cats and dogs," etc. Be sure to finish your vocabulary before Monday.
In American Government, we started another of my favorite units - Congress. I know I'm a nerd. We discussed the districts and apportionment of Congress. We will get to gerrymandering and other key components of the US Congress. For Monday of next week, complete the House Internet Activity. Current events are due on Friday, April 13th.
In Law, we tried to finish up our notes. Again because of the wonderful conversations, we didn't get quite that far. For homework, finish the crossword puzzle and worksheet. Hopefully, we will take our quiz tomorrow over criminal procedure.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
