I was gone today, so most watched a video file. Here is the summary of today's lesson.
In Literature 9 you had a great funny Monday video about a "runaway" refrigerator. Then everyone completed the second question in the Point of View workshop. In groups students worked on a symbols worksheet (front side), and then they also worked on the vocabulary for "The Scarlet Ibis". For homework everyone is to read the story up to the break on page 162.
In English 10 they also watched the funny video. Then we started our unit on Phrases. The prepositional phrase acts as both an adjective and an adverb. We started with the adjective. There were a few video notes and an exercise. Then I gave notes on the conclusion. Everyone is to work on both their Mayflower Project individual as well as their own personal experience speech.
In American Literature it was all about the unit test (Puritan literature).
It seems like things went well, and I'm looking forward to being back tomorrow.
