I don't know about anyone else, but I thoroughly enjoyed my snow day yesterday. You'd think I would sit in my pj's and watch Netflix, but I actually worked really hard on my house, some school work, and quite a few errands that just needed to get done. I felt like I really got some things accomplished.
Literature 9 did not have class due to the late start.
In English 10 it was all about Jobs and Occupations vocabulary. We reviewed the words, finished up any presentations, and prepared for tomorrow's quiz.
In American Literature, which met for only thirty minutes, took a reading check on the Salem Witch Trials (National Geographic Game). We then read for our ten minutes. Everyone turned in their paper on the Sense of Duty. It should be shared with me on Google docs. We concluded class by discussing the article on the hysteria that accompanies "witchhunts". Looking at your assigned article, remember to circle any unfamiliar words, highlight the names of the individuals (we're going to see if they match up to history), number the causes of a "witchhunt", and take notes in the margin next to each paragraph.
All in all a good day. I'm anxious to see this snow go bye-bye. Have a great Tuesday, and good luck to the basketball teams.
