What a day! What a week! So many things to do, and so many things done. I really feel like I've gotten so much accomplished, and yet, I know the "to-do" list is long!
In Literature 9 we learned a little bit about Edgar Allan Poe. We then finished up our story "The Leap". Then we moved on to introduce the story of the "Cask of the Amontillado". This is a tough story, so everyone should read it with care.
In English 10 we reviewed propaganda techniques by looking at some past campaign commercials. Then we went out into the hall for a stations activity. There everyone got a chance to look at some print propaganda. We will review it again next week, go over our vocabulary, and then take our test.
In American Literature we discussed foils and The Crucible. We then had just enough time to watch Act III of the movie. This is a particularly difficult act to watch as we see the results of the mass hysteria - the hangings. We will finish up the movie next week, and then sum up our unit and take a unit test.
Good luck to the football team and the band. I hope all do their very best. We're proud of you!
