O.K. - Who stole April? I swear I saw it here a minute ago, and I find out today is the last day of April. Someone took it right out from under me. Man the time really did fly!
In Literature 9 we began our introduction to the Drama Unit. I love this day as I can share scenes from Wicked, Stomp, and War Horse. As always, everyone seems to enjoy Stomp. We cleaned out our binders keeping only the yellow sheets. We then started to take notes on the drama unit - the history behind it, and what makes it different from other genres. Everyone is supposed to look up the words for "The Bear" (our first one act).
In English 10 we also cleaned out our binders. This was a little more difficult as we had to keep everything that was related to Shakespeare. We then tried to get as much of Scene 5 read as possible. We got up to where Lord Capulet stomps out of the room.
In American Literature we reviewed and discussed Act I of Our Town. Then we finished up discussing Poe, specifically his writing style. We looked at our tests, and I reminded everyone how important it is to end strong. Then we had our Emily Dickinson presentation along with a discussion about her life. We'll finish up Emily on Tuesday with a little Walt Whitman on Thursday.
In Law we tried to get through a little more on our contract unit, but with pictures in the gym, I lost a great deal of time. Hopefully we can pick up the pace next week.
Have a great Thursday and enjoy this wonderful weather!
