I feel so blessed to be working in a school where I feel valued and appreciated. Thank you Ag Leadership class for your goodie basket. It was really appreciated.
In Literature 9 we compared and contrasted Tom Robinson's version of the events of November 21 with the prosecution. Most of us have come to believe that he's innocent. There are a few holdouts. We took our check, went over the vocabulary, worked on our Trial Worksheet, and really looked at the tone used by the various characters. Read Chapters 20-21 for tomorrow. Don't forget to have that vocabulary done!
In English 10 we finished Act III. We worked on our worksheet, and then played a little Kahoot. We had several good laughs, and I find myself enjoying Romeo and Juliet so much with this group. Thank you for making it fun for me as well! We will have a quiz tomorrow over Act III and don't forget to read for 10 minutes.
American Government was all about the Legislative Unit Test. Usually, I say I don't think it was too bad, but I definitely saw people struggle today. I don't know if it's because people didn't study or what, but I'm a little worried at what I'm going to discover when I start grading them. For Monday, complete the cumulative study guide.
In Law, we reviewed key terms related to torts: witness, evidence, judgment vs. verdict, conciliatory, comparative, damages, subpoena, and an injunction. We took our quiz. Then everyone was given two cases - a plaintiff and a defendant. Using their logical skills, develop arguments for the plaintiff (tell their side of the story, how he or she was injured, what damages they are seeking) and the defendant (use a defense that was discussed). The class will decide who we side with. We're going to try and get through them all so we can take our test on Friday!
Have a great Wednesday everyone. If you don't remember, Mother's Day is on Sunday. Get that card before all the good ones are gone.
