We were on the ball today. It seemed in every class things got accomplished. I know that it should be that way every day, and it is, but today feels like a very productive day.
In Literature 9 we studied the terms related to the stage. Tomorrow we're going to have a quick check over this. In Fifth period we had time to read the biography of Anton Chekhov and write three questions on the card. Seventh hour we struggled to get there. Granted we had one less class period due to Friday's early out. We'll get everyone on board with tomorrow's class. We're also going to start reading our first one act. Everyone is supposed to have the notes done for page 756-757.
In English 10 we started our grammar unit on usage (subject/verb) agreement. I think we can sail right through these lessons as the feedback is pretty positive. We then moved on and tried to put a timeline together. In Act III Lord Capulet tells us it's Monday night, so working backwards we discovered that the first fight in the streets was Sunday morning. Wow, a lot happened in two short days. We then concluded with talking about motivation. This is a worksheet they will complete in order to prepare for tomorrow's Act III quiz.
In American Government it's all about the Presidential hats. We discussed the various responsibilities that a President has to meet. We then finished up our notes on Chapter 9-2. We had just a little time to review for Wednesday's test; however, there are review exercises on Moodle and they will help anyone complete the study guide as well.
In Law we finished our discussion of elements of a contract (Yahoo and the subscriber). We reviewed what an offer, acceptance, and considerations include. We then took notes on a 6-2 Guided Reading form (worksheet). For tomorrow, everyone is supposed to read and answer the elements of "duty" found in their packet.
See! I told you we had a productive day! See you tomorrow.
