The weekend is over and another Monday is upon us. I'm tired today. Probably because I chased little girls all weened and held little boys as well. It was all worth it though!
In Literature 9 we finished reading the book. It's so fun to watch the reaction when the book is over. It's like saying good-bye to a new (or old) friend. We discussed whether we thought this book was a classic. We hope, in the next few days, to look at the literal, social, and moral reasons supporting the idea that this is indeed a classic. Everyone is then to find a partner and compare their scores on Kohlberg's Moral Development. This assignment asks them to look at the scores, come to a consensus, and then sign each other's paper. We will work on the Key Themes and Ideas for the next few days. Our test will probably be Thursday (but maybe Wednesday).
In English 10 we took the first 20 minutes to finish our essays on Romeo and Juliet. Then we watched the prologue and first scene of the modern version. I look forward to seeing (and hearing) the reactions to this movie.
In American Government we discussed the support agencies to Congress - the Library of Congress, the General Accountability Office, the Congressional Budget Office, and the Governmental Publishing Office. We will finish up our discussion of Congress on Wednesday with the test on Friday.
In Law, the forensics class met with us and I laid down some of the ground rules for the upcoming murder mystery. The forensics class must be prepared to watch over the clues as if some of them are missed, they will end up in the dumpster. After the joint meeting, then we moved onto our study of torts. We didn't get to far, but we did discuss duty of care - professional, vehicular, and land owners.
Have a great Monday everyone!
