What an amazing weekend! The Sons of Liberty sang so well, and then to have Television News win a banner - it's crazy. What's crazy is the speech tournament is less than a week away. I truly hope I have all my ducks in a row.
In Literature 9 the two sections are actually at two different points. First hour began working on the story "Sayonara". We discussed imagery and finding the thesis in a piece of writing. We also took a few minutes and looked up the words for the story. Eighth hour still needed to take their vocabulary test from Friday. And unfortunately they will continue to be behind because later this week, there are the Ag Olympics. No one teachers you this when you're in college studying education.
In English 10 we reviewed direct objects and indirect objects. The rest of the class was used to prepare their partners speech. I hear a lot of arguing going on, and I look forward to these debates.
In American Government we took a look at the modern election and compared it to the elections of the past. We watched biographical ads, then a few memorable commercials, and ended with a few negative ads. All this changed the face of politics. We are still working our way through the election packet.
In Law, I was a bad teacher. They got a study hall while I worked on the Speech Schedule. It was a good thing though as I was able to post the schedule by 3:30. That was the goal.
All in all, I'm exhausted. Granted I was up until 4:45 AM this morning, and I'm running on about two hours of sleep, but things are getting done, and that is exciting.
