Well, my blog will get a little outdated until I return. I'll try and catch everyone up once I come back to class.
In Literature 9 we finished up our discussion of John F. Kennedy's Inauguration Address. This is the second Presidential address we've read. We've looked at juxtaposition, antithesis, rhetorical question, anaphora, and parallelism. Hopefully these terms still in our minds now. We'll be finishing with "Put Down Your Backpack" and then take our test over nonfiction sometime next week.
In English 10 we are still working through our partner speeches. Next week Mrs. Meester will be grading you. She is an accomplished speech teacher and coach. I guarantee you that she will grade you just fine!
In American Government we finished up our discussion of the Bill of Rights. I enjoyed our discussion from "You Be the Judge" (and I hope you did too.) We had some great conversations about our individual rights and a government's responsibilities.
In Law we finished our discussion of the Supreme Court and its most famous cases. We took a quiz over the court system. I'm anxious for us to get to our criminal unit as I think you'll really enjoy it.
I won't see you for a week, but you'll be close to my heart. See you later!
