Technology hates me today. Between a washer going out, rewiring our dryer, the van not starting, and this morning my computers wouldn't sync with each other. I think I'm going to run home and crawl back into bed. Good thing as it's bitter cold.
In Literature 9, we tried to get as much done as possible, but I was definitely scrambling. We managed to work on a Padlet that allowed us to see how this website worked. We posted three facts we learned from reading page 260 (autobiographies and biographies). In one class we also managed to get through the vocabulary (two words at least). Unfortunately, that was about all. For homework, everyone should read "A Brother's Crime" on page 284.
In English 10, the struggled continued. I moved onto my laptop, but them my projector started to do some weird "bluish" thing, and by seventh hour, it was gone. Gremlins, I tell you - it's Gremlins. We discussed the first basic rule of subject/verb agreement. We then shared our topic choices. We didn't have too many duplicates, and what repetition there was, we worked it out. Everyone should be researching their chosen field. Outlines will be due on Friday. Open a Google doc and share it with me.
In American Literature, we first got a seating chart out of the way. Then we tried to finish our discussion of the Declaration of Independence. Unfortunately, we didn't finish. We will finish up with that on Thursday. For Thursday, everyone should work on a National Geographic interactive game for the Salem Witch Trials. We will use the information from this game as a basis for the movie.
I'm going to try and hold on, but if things continue like they did today, the next place for me is in bed under the covers. Good luck to the basketball players tonight.
