Today was really a day where I ran from one thing to another. I'm ready for Large Group Season to be over.
In Literature 9 we finished up "All God's Children..." We discussed the narrative essay elements as well as the problem solution structure. We ended with a mid-unit quiz. No homework for Monday.
In English 10 we continued with our motivational speeches. Some speakers need to work on the motivating part. Remember these speeches are supposed to change our behavior.
In American Literature we finished up the end of the Tom Walker story. Then we took a Washington Irving quiz.
In Law we reviewed the different types of law using a story called Bill's Bad Day. Then we discussed the importance of judicial independence. We didn't get as far as I had hoped, but the discussion was very good. (We talked about seat belts, cell phones, and primary offenses.)
Good luck to the athletes this weekend as well as the speech kids. Make GLR proud!
