It's a little later in the evening, but with play practice after school, time got away from me.
In English 10 the next 5 vocabulary presentations were given. Unfortunately the quality of the presentations have really diminished. I hope that the quality improves. The first set were so good, and now it's like it's just something to get through. Then we began to talk about the body of the speech. Making the list of the steps is a very important part of the speech preparation. Really think hard about what information you want to share.
In American Literature we reviewed the rhetorical devices by playing a game of Match. Then we reviewed Leonard Pitts' Pulitzer Prize essay and applying the rhetorical devices. Patrick Henry is next up!
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of text structure (spacial). Then we discussed the bias we found in JFK's Inauguration Address. Finally we finished with reviewing for the test. We reviewed proper test techniques, and then we went over the study guide.
See you all tomorrow!
