I'm just dragging today. I had a good night's sleep, but right now, at 3:10 PM, all I want is my bed!
In Literature 9 we got both classes caught up. We reviewed expand your vocabulary, point of view paragraph #1 (2nd hour), and vocabulary (2nd hour). We then divided into the two teams - prosecution and defense. Everyone received a worksheet that asks them to determine the opening statements, the three main arguments, and the closing arguments. I'm excited to see how the debate tomorrow will turn out!
In English 10 we corrected our comma worksheet. Then we worked together to write a thesis for my speech on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The rest of the class was devoted to working on the body of the speech. Everyone is supposed to send me their thesis statement via email. We don't have class tomorrow, so all outlines (body) must be done on Monday.
In American Literature, we worked on our vocabulary teams. Tomorrow we're going to have a quiz over the words related to change. We then started our Patrick Henry stations. Most got done with two stations, and we'll hopefully finish up tomorrow.
Good luck to the wrestlers!
