Another crazy day down. I love my life and the craziness of it. And I'm being totally honest.
In Literature 9 we're discussing my all-time favorite nonfiction story "Into Thin Air". We discussed being a survivalist and whether we would survive on Everest (I would be dead within a minute.) We discussed structure - chronological and spatial. We looked for those key words that help us put things in a time line. Then in groups we worked on monitoring our comprehension. Tomorrow we're going to watch an interview with one of the survivors and also take a quiz.
In English 10 we're still trying to get everyone caught up from the two missed classes due to weather. In second hour we reviewed our direct objects. Everyone should finish the other side for tomorrow. Then it was time to review the vocabulary related to mythology. Test time. Finally a few motivational speeches. We will finish them tomorrow.
In American Lit. we are studying my favorite Romantic book - The Scarlet Letter. We went over Hester's emergence from prison and the appearance of Roger Chillingworth. Everyone is supposed to finish the packet by Tuesday. We also completed a vocabulary lesson (Irving and Hawthorne). This was completed in groups.
Law was all about the review. We looked over our crossword puzzle, and then reviewed the court cases found on pages 14-16. I distributed a study guide and our test is tomorrow.
I hope the snow quits, and the girls play well. Have a good night!
