It's good to see so many people down to watch the state track meet. I know I should say school comes first, but here's an opportunity to cheer on our Mustangs! They are performing so well. Keep up the good work all.
In Literature 9, we reviewed the qualities of a "perfect storm". There were so many things that fell into place with the attack on the children. We took our check, and then we completed the worksheet. I distributed a project, which you can use you I-Pass on - the character autopsy. I adjusted the criteria a bit (I sent out an email), but you only need to find 5 direct quotes and have 6 explanations. The character autopsy is due whenever you have your final test.
In English 10, it was all about the Romeo and Juliet final. I haven't witnessed any tears, so hopefully, people felt comfortable with the knowledge they've amassed! Notebooks due on Monday.
In American Lit, we started out by talking about the little things all towns share - the routineness of life, talking about the weather, noticing things like the moon, babies being born, gossip being shared - all the things we saw as we watched Act I. We then started watching Act II - Love and Marriage. We only saw about 20 minutes, but we will pick up the play once again on Monday.
In Law, we started our tort movie Runaway Jury. This helps us to understand jury consultants, voir dire - the questions asked of a jury as the lawyers decide whether to keep or strike. Again, we will pick this up on Monday.
Graduation this weekend. The end of 35 student's high school education. What a milestone! I hope everyone enjoys the many (many) graduation parties and treats. Congratulations graduates. You will be missed.
