It's good to be back in class. I love my students and their energy is inspiring. I hope that they enjoy the fact that I'm back as well.
In Literature 9 we tried to catch up on the two chapters reviewed yesterday (Chapter 6-7). Then we reviewed the vocabulary for Chapters 6-8. The reading check was next. This is a longer reading check (16 questions, but I only count 15). We discussed the reason that Jem understood Boo and Scout did not (she's too young to put two-and-two together). We then started our map activity, but we didn't really get too far. For homework everyone is supposed to work on their reading comprehension questions for Chapters 7-9.
In English 10 we finished our discussion of Act 1, Scene 4 - Queen Mab's illustration was taped to the worksheet I distributed. (Unfortunately, I should have given it to you beforeheand, but I messed up). Then in pods the groups went over the Queen Mab speech and took notes over what did everyone dream of. Then we moved on to read Act 1, Scene 5. We didn't get all the way done, but we were able to discuss Capulets "ok" with Romeo's attendance. For homework, we moved on to infinitives.
In American Literature we reviewed the information related to Washington Irving - Kahoot. Then we started to work on Author's Style with The Scarlet Letter. We didn't get too far due to the longer review. Quiz on Thursday.
In Law we finished watching our "48 Hours" - a stalking issue. We'll watch the second episode when we're done discussing the defenses. We then discussed reasonable suspicion vs. probable cause. We did a minor role playing with Terry.
Have a great Tuesday!
