Last night's War Horse was amazing! We were a good looking group who thoroughly enjoyed an evening at the theater.
In Literature 9 we assessed where we were in Authors' Purpose. We took a quick Drill the Skill assessment. We also took a quick reading check over the chapter Black Boy. The autobiography Black Boy is about segregation and Richard Wright's attempt to overcome it. We discussed Jim Crow laws and their impact on our culture. Because of time, that was where we left off. See you Monday!
In English 10 we assessed our Drill the Skill with a Moodle quiz over Pronouns. Everyone should have done well, as all subject pronouns include I, we, she, he, they, it and you. We also finished up our Proper Names Vocabulary Presentations. We will review the vocabulary on Monday with a test on the fifteen words on Tuesday. Since we didn't quite get to our propaganda techniques, we'll work with that on Monday. If you haven't completed the Padlet assignment, get that done before class on Monday.
American Government was a conversation about government choices. All governments have to fulfill their primary purposes: maintain social order, provide public goods and services, provide national security, and make economic decisions. How they decide to do that determines the type of government they are - autocratic, oligarchy, or government. We will finish our discussion of this on Monday!
