The second day of March Madness ends with success. We played a little BINGO, and there were some very competitive individuals. Black out was won by Mariah Terhark with second place going to Dallas Wiersma. Thanks so much for getting involved in this. It's fun for this "old" English teacher to see.
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of Chapters 11-15 and took a quiz. We then tried to finish reviewing the vocabulary words for these chapters but ran out of time. We will take a little time tomorrow to work on vocabulary and commonly confused words. Then it will be time to move onto and discuss the trial of Tom Robinson.
In English 10 we started class with the stimulating discussion of gerunds. (I know - you're jealous you missed it!) There was a worksheet completed in groups of three, the reverse side is due tomorrow. Then we moved on to a quick search of Queen Mab. We got through part of the scene, but we'll definitely need to finish it tomorrow.
In American Literature we had a presentation on Stephen Crane. Then we took notes on realism and its sub-categories (regionalism and naturalism). We have a little way to go yet, but we'll finish up Red Badge of Courage on Thursday. We have the Lost Generation to finish, then it will be onto poetry and drama.
In Law we started to break down the various types of crimes (crimes against people, property, reality, etc.). We'll begin to review the packet tomorrow.
I hope everyone can stay dry, it looks like the rain is coming down pretty hard. Happy Tuesday everyone!
