What a whirlwind of a day! I beginning to wonder how many times I can find a different way to say that the day went fast...
In Literature 9 we went over our Point of View Workshop. Then it was a quick review of "Sweet Potato Pie" vocabulary. Finally groups were formed and we went over the details of "Sweet Potato Pie". I was so impressed how everyone (1st Hour) came in with it completed.
In English 10 we started class by putting our words about "groups" into groups. I love puns! Hopefully this will help us organize our studying for tomorrow's test. In second hour we watched a sample tour speech, created our notecard, and prepared. Sixth Hour we looked at the rubric requirements, the evaluation forms, uploaded our power points, and then had time for one speech.
In American Government we took an Articles of Confederation Quiz. Everyone was then assigned a Founding Father to research. We will have a "dinner party" on Monday introducing ourselves to each other. Finally we ended with our current events discussion. I always enjoy these. Maybe because I'm amazed at how informed some students are and also the quirky (no downright weird) news they seem to find.
I just wanted to say how sorry I am that last night's game didn't turn out the way we all hoped. I am just sick for the Volleyball girls. What a valiant effort and we are all so proud of you!
