This book was recommended to me by several Language Arts teachers. At first, I was turned off by the language of the novel. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for the realism displayed with the vernacular chosen, I
just don't normally read books that use such course words. This story is about a young black man who is shot by a white cop. It's timely and relevant and a chance to see different sides to this all-too often event. I highly recommend this book.
