I feel very energized today, and it's not related to the amount of coffee I drank either!
In Literature 9 we had an opportunity to look at storyboards created for "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". They were great. What a fun way to summarize the story. Then we went through the story and discussed what triggered each daydream. Finally we finished with a reading check.
In English 10 in each section we had one speech to go. After that we took a quick check on complements. It's not a quiz, I just need to know who is on board, and who is still struggling. We're finishing our discussion of proper introductions (Grab the audience attention, building interest, preview, establish ethos, and apply to the audience.) In sixth hour we got through the body of the speech, but in second hour we only got done the introduction. We'll finish tomorrow.
In American Literature we finished our discussion of Leonard Pitts' essay and the moved onto Patrick Henry. I want to apologize that I realize that this isn't the most stimulating of ideas, but it's something that needs to be done. We have a quiz on Tuesday.
Have a great Thursday everyone!
