I ran out of school yesterday as I was in charge of sub sales at my church. So after a long day, I thought I would just get the blogging done this morning.
In Literature 9 we discussed Chapter 20 and the importance of not judging a book by its cover. Mr. Raymond was definitely NOT what he appeared. We then discussed Atticus's closing statements and how he tried (desperately) to show the audience he was one of them (he took off his jacket, loosened his tie and shirt, he even sweated.) We then tried to get Chapter 21 completely read. Unfortunately we had about three paragraphs left. Tomorrow we will combine all that we learned about the trial into one class period.
In English 10 we began our discussion of Act II, Scene 2 - the famous balcony scene. We read the soliloquy of both Romeo and then practiced our paraphrasing (taking a speech line by line and putting it into our own words.) We will continue to work with both paraphrasing and summaries.
In American Government we discussed at great length the Indiana and Arkansas laws of religious freedom. For fourth hour that took most of the period as we had an assembly. For third hour we were able to discuss the election process a little bit more. Hopefully we will be able to catch up next week when we return from Spring Break.
In Law we reviewed all the crimes we've discussed. It did take us most of the period, so we'll be taking our Chapter 5-1 Quiz right away at the beginning of the period.
Hope you had a great Wednesday! Today looks like it's going to be beautiful (if only I can stop sneezing!)
