Today is a good day, today is a good day, today is a good day...sorry I had to remind myself - today is a good day!
In Literature 9 it was pretty quiet. We all took our Short Story Unit test. I didn't see anyone break into tears, so I think it was going o.k. At least I hope everyone felt prepared.
In English 10 I conferenced with every student about their main points. We then took those main points and wrote them into a thesis statement. We will work on the introduction of our speech tomorrow, the conclusion on Thursday, rehearse on Friday, and then present on Monday. Hopefully that will give us plenty of time to get them in prior to Christmas break!
In American Literature, who I haven't seen in nearly two weeks [ASVABS, snow days, ITED's] we discussed our book trailer final projects. Then we watch Red Skelton's presentation on "The Pledge of Allegiance". For Thursday everyone will recite the pledge, and then present the Star Spangled Banner the following Tuesday. Finally everyone had the opportunity to work in their groups on the Age of Reason vocabulary. We'll finish this up on Thursday.
Today is a good day...Today IS a good day. What was I thinking! Happy Tuesday everyone!
