The last day of February! That's just crazy. We've had 60 degree weather and a horrible blizzard, all within a few days of each other. This has been a crazy month.
In Literature 9 we discussed the rhetorical devices and persuasive language (pg. 22 in notebook). We reviewed the definitions and found examples in our literature. We then reviewed the vocabulary for "Sayonara". Finally - actually after the bell, we discussed the thesis of the essay and then the homework is to support the thesis Sayonara is the perfect good-bye.
In English 10 it was the second (and last) word day for their partner speeches. We will be presenting them tomorrow.
In American Literature half of the class was spent with me having a temper tantrum. I'm so frustrated with students not meeting me half way. I truly don't know what to do. We had so much more to do, but we only finished our discussion of Walden at least.
In Law we moved on to discuss how cases get to the Supreme Court. We also compared and contrasted the district. court of appeals, and the Supreme Court (jurisdiction, # of judges, etc.). For tomorrow everyone is to finish the law packet that reviews the information we discussed in class.
Have a great final day of February!
