Again, what did I ever do to Mother Nature? Another late start wrecks havoc with speech practices, curriculum, and general disposition. URGH!!!!
In English I, I only met with eighth period. We tried to catch up from missing last week, and everyone should be on the same page. Outlines for the next speech - check. Ready to give a 1-3 minute speech on a product - well, we'll see tomorrow.
In American Government, we only had a half hour class. I attempted to describe gerrymandering, but without a game I always use, it's such a hard concept. I really hope I can find an alternative to the game we always played. We're going to have a quiz over Chapter 5-1 on Wednesday.
In Literature 9, again it was a day of catch-up. Fifth hour took their reading probe, and we began to wrap up "Sweet Potato Pie." Seventh hour, we tried to get our probe done, take our check over the story, and begin discussion of the story itself. Hopefully with full class periods tomorrow, we'll get everyone on the same page. Only to be off again as we have an early out on Friday.
In Law, we finished discussion of the evolution of law. Several students were gone, but we muddled through. Finish up the section review.
Hopefully the warm weather melted all the ice and driving will be less treacherous tomorrow. Happy Monday everyone.
