There wasn't a posting for Friday because most of the day was spent for STEM. Fifth hour Literature 9 students did run the second half of the Amazing Race, but other than that, it was a day to catch up on missing assignments.
In Literature 9 today we started by reviewing our short story test. Many did very well, but there were a few that struggled. My tests are hard, and filling out the study guide is not all there is to studying. However, most did very well.
In English 10 it was all about the informative speeches. We had several students well under the six minute minimum. With all last week to work on the speeches, I expected to be dazzled, and I was at times, but the flash was a little brief.
In American Government, we first started by going over our open book tests. Some were awful while others were stellar. Everyone has the opportunity to redo their Preamble quiz if it wasn't the score they were happy with. Everyone should focus on completing their Constitution test.
A full day of speech practices, classroom planning, and grading papers. Man, I love my life. (Insert sarcasm here!)
