Another Monday. But thinking about that - there aren't many Mondays left.
In Literature 9 we watched "Little Big Shots" and this adorable five-year-old recite JFK's speech. Ironically, that's exactly what we're doing as well. We watched JFK's inaugural address and discussed the highlighting and labeling. For tomorrow, circle emotional words and underline bias (JFK should claim the US is the greatest country in the world).
In English, we worked on our agenda (outline) for our panel discussion. We did review three of the vocabulary words first. The agenda serves the same purpose as the outline. The panel discussion's agenda should be more detailed than the one shared with the audience. As a group, you will share TWO documents - the group agenda and the audience agenda. Remember as a group you will also turn in a bibliography.
In American Government, we started with our current events conversations. I love these. I think we have some great discussions. Then we reviewed the Bill of Rights - for the last time. We reviewed the worksheet along with the artwork and its relationship with the Bill of Rights. We didn't get too far with the 14th Amendment, but we will pick it up again Wednesday.
In Law, we finished watching the TED talk and Jennifer ? (I can't remember her last name), and her attempts to change the eyewitness testimony is gathered. We then worked on our own personal experiment.
All in all a great day. I will be gone tomorrow as I have a new baby granddaughter on her way. I'll see you all once again on Wednesday.
