Another bitter start for the day. It just seems like the cold just takes your breath away.
In Literature 9 we finished our discussion of the "Lady or the Tiger". We then moved on to another classic "The Most Dangerous Game". I know they will love this story.
In English 10 we're struggling with finishing all our informative speeches. We took a quiz over simple subjects/predicates. Hopefully those grades will help boost the grades that were impacted by short Informative speeches. So many students were short, and they will have the option to redo or take the penalty (which could cause the grade to drastically drop). Tomorrow we will be taking an informative speech test. The essay is the speech process.
In American Literature we began the Romantic Unit. This unit focus on a period in literature that was all about emotion, so it made sense to discuss whether we were emotional or logical. We talked about the elements of Romanticism and then applied them to a poem by Alfred Noyes "The Highwayman".
Keep warm, good luck to the athletes, and see you tomorrow!
