First day without a late start, and it was a little hard to crawl out of bed.
In Literature 9 first and fifth hour are at two different spots, but hopefully we can get everyone on the same page. In first hour we looked at various photographs (from a slide show) showing different inaugurations. Then we returned to Lincoln's second address. We worked in groups rephrasing and summarizing each paragraph. First hour is supposed to read the accompanying graphic novel. In fifth hour we looked at the slide show and then read the graphic novel together (partners). By tomorrow we'll both be together.
In English 10 we reviewed prepositional phrases (adverb or adjective). Next we reviewed the words for the upcoming vocabulary lesson (Mythology). Then we reviewed logos and discussed ways to include pathos and ethos. Everyone is supposed to work on their outline and have it complete for tomorrow.
In American Government we discussed current events recently in the news. Then we talked about who the "people" were - are they American citizens? children? animals? etc. Popular sovereignty is summed up in three words "We the People". Then we took our quiz over the Preamble. We had just a little time to work on the federalism worksheet.
Have a great Wednesday!
