OK, I just wrote "November" for the month. Man, that's a sign.
In Literature 9 we reviewed the story "The Scarlet Ibis". We went over the vocabulary words; then in groups we tried to come up with something for each letter of the alphabet (ABC's of the Scarlet Ibis). Then I showed them a website called Piktochart.com. Here they are going to make a Infograph of the story. This is the first time I've assigned this type of assignment, as I usually resort to old stand-bys like Power Point. I hope it works because I think the concept is neat.
In English 10 we took our quiz over mythology. I had hoped we would get to the point where we could start our notes on audience perceptions, but, ah, it wasn't meant to be. We will be giving our motivational speeches at the end of the week (hopefully!).
In American Government we reviewed the leadership positions in the House of Representatives and the Senate. Each student was assigned a particular leader, how they got to office, their key responsibilities, any interesting historical information, who the present person is, etc. They too are going to use that new website I discovered Piktograph. This assignment is due on Wednesday. We will then use the information to complete an assessment over the leadership of Congress.
In Law we worked on our legal vocabulary. Then we started to present Ancient Codes - a Google presentation that was assigned last week.
All in all a good day - just starting to get a bad sore throat.
