I hope the luck of the Irish is with you today and every day!
In Literature 9 we discussed Chapter 2 of To Kill a Mockingbird. We focused on how Miss Caroline is an outsider, but also through some three person scenarios we learned how to look at a single event from three different people's perspective. Miss Caroline's first day was probably just as traumatic as Scout's. We took a few notes on a worksheet to help us organize our thoughts regarding allusions, dialogue, and perspectives.
In English 10 it was all about the costumes and hats. So much laughing!! I love the first day of Romeo and Juliet! We had some interesting costumes - Matthew H. in a very small costume will be a memory that will last a lifetime. I hope everyone had a little fun today and that it sets a tone for the rest of the play. Everyone should take the Prince's speech and complete an annotation for it. The more we read, the more we'll understand.
In American Government we reviewed and then took our quiz over Chapter 5-1. Then in groups of four they worked on a "deck" of cards that represented concepts, objects, and facts about the House of Representatives. Using their computer as a research took, they are writing notes on those cards (we will finish on Monday). For homework there is a video to watch and notes to take.
In Law we reviewed the categories of crimes. Then everyone shared an article and we classified it according to those categories. Finally we started going through the criminal packet. We discussed the differences between assault, aggravated assault, and battery. We didn't get too far, but we will finish it on Monday.
Have a great weekend everyone! We will see you on Monday!
