Mondays seem to come so much faster than other days of the week. It doesn't help when so many of us aren't feeling very well. I know that I feel like I'm coughing up a lung. Hopefully we can all get over what every this "crud" is as soon as possible.
English 10: We reviewed the speech model. We then moved on and discussed what communication is. We worked in groups to create definitions of 10 words that were introduced in Chapter 1 of our reading.
American Government: We discussed for the four qualities of a state, how a state is born, and shared our chosen collages/bubbles. All must be uploaded by noon Tuesday. I also reviewed the perimeters of Headline News forum. You have a handout that should fully explain the project. Just a few highlights - articles must be current, relevant, and lengthy. You must write a summary, reflection, and the respond to mine (Mrs. Sandbulte) and one other classmate. This is worth 15 points each week.
Literature 9: We discussed what nonfiction, specifically autobiography. We checked to see if our email was working along with experimented with Padlet. We then discussed the impact prior knowledge has on our reading. Some people could relate to phrases that contained numbers, while others were quite lost. The more we have in our storehouse, the more we can connect to what we're reading and learning. For tomorrow, a few puzzles will help us understand prior knowledge even more!
