I'm pulling grandma duties for the next two days, so I hope all is going well!
In Literature 9 we (through Windows Movie Maker) discussed the evidence presented in Chapters 17-18. This was the evidence for the prosecution. Both Bob Ewell and Mayella Ewell gave their side of the story. Hopefully there was also some discussion of body language of a liar. Then first period took the reading check over Chapter 18, and eighth hour took the check over both Chapter 17 and 18. Then they received a worksheet called "Honorifics". This explains who is supposed to be called "Mr.," "Miss," and so on.
In English 10 it was grammar time. (I hope you're hearing MC Hammer's song "Hammer Time.") I had a video lesson on compound subjects and verb agreement. There was a worksheet, and then for homework, everyone is supposed to complete Exercise 8 on page 117. Just put it to the right of the exercises on the worksheet. Then flash cards covering the information from Act III were sent out to everyone via email. This should be used to study for the quiz tomorrow.
In American Government, everyone was supposed to turn in their worksheet outlining the research for a bill presently in front of the 114th Congress. Then working in a group, classify different characteristics of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The qualities could also refer to both chambers or neither. There was also a short little summary of Chapter 5 Section 3 on the Senate.
In Law the class began watching 12 Angry Men. This is a great movie to watch as a culmination of our criminal unit. They will finish it on Wednesday.
