Again I let time get away from me and I didn't get the blogging done as intended. To stream-line things, I thought I would combine the two days.
In Literature 9 we took a check over the one-act "The Bear". We finished our discussion of the elements of a farce as well as the structure cause and effect. Today we spent almost the entire class period read "Red Carnations", but before we started reading we shared information from an article on the 1920's.
In English 10 we're getting done with Romeo and Juliet. Act IV is always so quick as the scenes are shorter and the action fast-paced. On Friday we took the quiz over it, worked on a few agreement exercises, and then for Monday read Act V, Scenes 1-2.
In American Literature it was all about Walt Whitman. We had our presentation on his life, along with the study of his poetry. We also reviewed quite a few of the terms related to poetry. Finally we compared his style and contributions to Emily Dickinson. We will work on Robert Frost on Tuesday, Carl Sandburg on Thursday, and then the final poets on the following Monday (the 18th).
Law has been one of the most fun experiences I've ever had teaching. The Law and Forensic class is working on solving the murder of Miss White. The evidence is saying one thing, their guts are leading them another, and they fail to always listen to each other. We'll see if they can solve the murder by Monday.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Kiss your mom! She's an amazing woman I'm sure.
