As much as I love my grandchildren - old and new alike - I'm a creature of habit, and I like it when my schedule is back to normal. That being said, I would give anything for a baby snuggle today!
In Literature 9 we finished the vocabulary related to JFK's speech. We then reviewed the rhetorical devices that we've been focusing on. We didn't quite finish reviewing the idea of bias in the speech, but hopefully for a few minutes tomorrow we can get that done. Don't forget that you're going to need to have your computers charged and ready to go for Mr. Helkenn tomorrow. Also look up the words related to "Put Down Your Backpack."
In English 10 we had four more vocabulary presentations. Then I conferenced with each group about where their panel discussions were headed. Some people got an "about-face," but better now than when you speak next week.
In American Government, we watched a video related to the 14th Amendment. In it, we discussed "privileges and immunities" along with the substantive due process. Tough concepts, but really important concepts. For Monday, be sure that you have your current events completed, along with the worksheet on Loving vs. Virginia.
In Law, we worked on our eye-witness experiment. I hope that we have all the kinks worked out. We didn't get too much else done, but I think we have it ready to go. We just need to finalize some things with a few outside participants.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
