I know my sister-in-law will not see this, but I wish her a happy birthday anyway. She's that one person in my life that if I hadn't met her my life would have definitely been worse. After all, it was through her that I met Craig!
In Literature 9 we discussed the powerful Chapter 9. It could very well be called "Meet the Relatives". We meet Francis, Aunt Alexandra, and Uncle Jack. Uncle Jimmy is there, but hey, is he really? We also took our check and filled out our summary. Class also included going over the vocabulary and answering the discussion questions related to Chapter 9. Read Chapter 10 for tomorrow.
In English 10 it was a day spent reviewing Act 1. We did a worksheet that looked closely at the conversation between Romeo and Juliet. We highlighted the words related to religion and also outlined the rhyme scheme. We played a little Kahoot to prepare for tomorrow's quiz. I encouraged everyone to look on-line for help when it comes to the quotes and terms. There is a lot of homework assistance out there.
In American Literature we reviewed quickly the information related to Washington Irving. Then they took a quiz. This quiz included a reading skills portion related to an author's style. Whatever time they had left, they could use it to answer questions related to Nathaniel Hawthorne.
In Law we spent time discussing intoxication and involuntary intoxication. We read a few articles related to these defenses on-line. There are some interesting ones related to sleepwalking and involuntary intoxication. We moved on to discuss justification defenses - "I did it, but here's why...". For tomorrow everyone is supposed to read #83-85 related to prevention of a crime, necessity, and duress.
Have a great Thursday everyone, and Happy Birthday Julie.
