Wow, it's Wednesday already. I'm not sure how this is happening, but time is sure flying.
In LITERATURE 9 we finished our annotation of "The Gettysburg Address". I'm really impressed how people were thinking and analyzing. Kuddos! We will take those skills and use them with a JFK speech.
In ENGLISH 10 we had two more debates. I'm really enjoying this assignment, and I thank Brentt for making me think of it. We will finish up tomorrow, give everyone time to work on their Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt, and there will be a check on Friday.
In AMERICAN GOVERNMENT we started the class by talking about last night's primary results. It's almost impossible to teach the governmental process because nothing is following the normal election process. Is that a good thing? I'm not sure. We then reviewed the pros/cons of the Electoral College. Everyone then took a quiz over Chapter 8-2. Time was given at the end of class to work on the Guided Reading for the next section.
In LAW we reviewed the federal court system and famous Supreme Court decisions. Another quiz (4-2) and then time to work on their Guided Reading on the Iowa Court System.
Not feeling the best, so it might be a short day for me (no speech practice), but I hope others can stay healthy. Have a great Wednesday!
