I know she won't see this but Happy Birthday Ashley!
In Literature 9 we're still playing the "catch-up" game. I know we'll be better off tomorrow, but the problem is it's already difficult to get everything in before Christmas break. Anyway, we compare and contrasted the video to the story (2nd Hour), worked on vocabulary (5th hour), and discussed the theme (5th hour). Tomorrow we're going to put the narrator on trial for the death of his brother. You need to choose a side and find evidence to support it. Defense and prosecution will be determined when you come to class.
In English 10 we reviewed the rules related to commas. We're getting to the end of our study, and we will soon have a test over the comma rules. Then we took notes on transitions and evaluating sources. Everyone seemed quite shocked at the martinlutherking.org website. Once we looked at the "who," we realized we need to evaluate our sources more diligently. For tomorrow, have your vocabulary power point completed, the reverse side of the comma worksheet, and if you didn't finish, evaluate one source you plan to use for your speech.
In American Government, we started with a current events discussion. In both classes this took a lot of the class period. We especially looked at President Trump's shrinking the national monuments in Utah. We then started our notes over the Constitutional Convention. I have such a passion for this time period, and I absolutely love teaching this subject matter. For Monday, complete the research on your Constitutional signer.
Have a great Wednesday everyone!
