In Literature 9 they finished "Put Down Your Backpack". This is one of my favorite pieces of literature because the message just resonates with me. Putting away the constant need to be perfect is something I need to hear - constantly. The rest of the class period was designated for working on the study guide.
In English 10 all speeches are completed, grammar (gerunds) is studied and it's time for S-H-A-K-E-S-P-E-A-R-E! They watched a biography of his life. Then it was back to gerunds! :-( They got started on a Scavenger Hunt for Shakespeare which they will finish tomorrow.
In American Government they watched a video on Congress and Gerrymandering. Not the most interesting stuff, but necessary information. They were then to play a game at a website called redistricting.org. They were to complete a few missions, but after returning I realized they only did one.
In Law they worked on their study guide for the class period.
Again, I'm sure all is going well!
